Sparkling mobile with clouds, moon and star

1 Paint the front of the cloud by alternating dabs of white and blue paint until the entire surface is covered. Use a different sponge for each colour. Allow the paint to dry.

2 Paint the back of the cloud blue.

3 Paint the small cloud light blue by dabbing it with paint using a clean sponge until covered. Allow the paint to dry and repeat on the other side. Follow the same procedure to paint the moon yellow and the star pink.

4 Cover the edges of the moon, star and cloud with glitter clay.

5 Attach glitter clay around the edge of the cloud and stretch it out into a thin layer, so that it is secured around the wood.

6 Make wooden beads with glitter by pressing a layer of glitter clay around the bead.

7 Now roll the bead between your hands until the glitter clay is evenly distributed.

8 Make sure the hole through the bead is not covered. If there is glitter clay over the hole, it can be pushed to the side.

9 Cut three pieces of cord to 30 cm, 40 cm and 25 cm for the star, moon and cloud.

10 Pull the cord through the hole and tie a knot at the end as shown.

11 Cut the end a little past the knot.

12 Use the beading needle to thread beads onto the cord.

13 Hide the knot in the first bead.

14 Tie the cord to the large cloud with a double knot.

15 Repeat with all three hanging decorations and cut off the ends a little past the knot.

16 Attach and hide the ends of the cords with a layer of glitter clay.

17 Attach the remaining cord to the top of the cloud. Decide how long you want the hanging cord, tie a knot and cut the end.

18 Attach the feathers by threading the end through 1-2 beads.
