The lovely shaker frames with personal pictures are a fun and cute gift idea for Christmas. The children can decorate their own picture and decorate the frame with effect clay to make it more Christmassy.

How to do it Download the templates/recipes
1 Open the frame and remove the backing.
2 Cut out the photo and decorate with markers.
3 Remove the plug and make a funnel out of a piece of plastic sleeve or laminate.
4 Fill the frame with snow then fill with water. Replace the plug.
5 Decorate the frame with effect clay, either in a Christmas motif or just dots with the different effect peaks.
6 Allow the effect clay to dry thoroughly before you finally assemble the frame.
7 For extra effect, add glitter to the snow before pouring it into the frame. Be aware, however, that the glitter will initially flow to the top like porridge, and it takes a couple of days to a week before it separates and flows beautifully with the snow. You may want to do a test before trying this.
