Mini canvas with pixel effect

Create fun pixel figures with cardboard mosaics. This gives a different expression and the motifs have a simple and graphic look.

How to do it
1 Paint the whole canvas in one colour with opaque acrylic paint and leave to dry.
2 Brush the whole canvas with varnish glue.
3 Place the mosaic pieces onto the wet varnish glue and form a figure. Allow to dry.
4 Draw black dots in the eyes with a thin marker.
Tips Place the mosaic pieces in the desired shape onto a blank canvas first. This will help you to assess the size and shape.
6 Use a dark base colour. This highlights the different colours of the mosaic in the best possible way.
7 Find inspiration for the figures in computer games, mosaic art etc.
