Key ring or bag decoration in macramé

Create your own macramé charm and use it as a key ring or decoration on your bag. Knot the charm in 2 mm cord and use 4 metres per pendant. The finished charm is 17 cm incl. tassel at the end.

How to do it

Cut 4 x 90 cm and 1 x 30 cm pieces of macramé cord, which is 2 mm thick.

Lay the four cords double and thread them through the ring from the front – now make four “Lark’s Head Knots”.

Take the 5th cord and hold it diagonally to the left – and now make a rib knot with the 4th cord. Repeat with cords 3, 2 and 1.

Thread the cord through the loop and pull the cord that is poking out of the start of the gathered knot– this will securely fasten the ends and can be cut off.
