Hæklet rose

Make your own rose from cotton yarn. Crochet a long strip and roll it up into a rose – sew the rose together in the crocheted lattice at the bottom. Sew the rose onto a brooch pin – or attach a long string to it and use it as a waist belt or choker.

How to do it
1 Crochet 103 chain stitches – turn it around and crochet 35 small ladder stitches to the end of the row. See the PDF guide at the bottom of the page.
2 Crochet a strip of 17 rose petals as described in the guide.
3 Roll up the rose from the middle and sew it together lattice that is crocheted to it.
4 Sew the rose onto a brooch needle using sewing thread.
5 Pull the string through the brooch needle if you want to tie the rose around your neck or waist.
