#v17237

Easily create adorable little fruit soaps in shapes ranging from grapes and watermelon to apples, strawberries and oranges. Always store your homemade soaps in a self-draining soap dish or packed in tissue paper or a cellophane bag - the easiest way to prevent the soap from sweating or condensation from forming.

How to do it
1 Guide step %d Weigh the white soap base in three portions of 30 g, 70 g and 100 g.
2 Guide step %d Put the soap pieces in a heat-resistant container. Melt the soap in the microwave at 80% power for around 30 seconds. If the soap is not completely melted, heat it for 5 seconds at a time until it is completely liquid. Stir the mixture while melting.
3 Guide step %d If you do not have a microwave, you can melt the soap base in a water bath at 50-70 °C. Do not allow the water to boil. Stir the soap while melting.
4 Guide step %d Once the soap has melted, add the soap dye. Start with the 30 g of soap and add 25 drops of green soap dye. Stir well.
5 Guide step %d Tilt the strawberry, apple and melon moulds. This can be done, for example, by leaning it against the edge of a cutting board.
6 Guide step %d Pour the green soap base into the mould and allow to dry for around 10 minutes tilted, so that the green dye does not run into the fruit. If the colour runs into the fruit, it can be easily removed with a butter knife/teaspoon after it has solidified. The soap that has been removed can be reused by melting it again.
7 Guide step %d Melt 100 g of white soap base and add 70 drops of orange soap dye when the soap is melted. The orange base is used for the strawberry, orange and melon. Finally, melt 70 g of white soap base and add 45 drops of green soap dye to the apple and grape mould.
8 Guide step %d Stir the colours well into the soap base and pour the soap into the moulds, as shown in the picture.
9 Guide step %d Allow the soaps to dry for around 1 hour.
10 Guide step %d After around 1 hour, the soaps can be pressed out of the moulds. The soap will be fully hardened after a few hours.
