Here is a fun activity for both big and little kids! Using clay, form a ball and make impressions with your hand and fingers or roll a strip of clay around the candle insert. Finally, paint with transparent paint and lacquer. Instant hygge and cosy moments!

How to do it
Stage 1 Take a lump of self-hardening clay and knead it.
2 Roll it into a fist-sized ball and press the candle cuff down into it.
3 Shape the clay around the cuff and make an impression with your fingers into the clay. Allow to dry.
Stage 2 Roll out the clay with the rolling pin so that it has a uniform thickness.
5 Cut a clay strip that's wide at one end and narrow at the other.
Stage 3 Make a sausage shape that's the same thickness as the candle cuff for a tall candlestick.
7 Roll the strip around the outside of the 'sausage' and press the candle insert down into the top. Allow to dry.
8 Paint the candlestick with glass paint diluted with water so that it runs and becomes transparent. Allow to dry.
9 Give the candlestick a coat of water-based lacquer.
