Clear bio-resin cast shell dish with lid with marbling effect

Make your own seashell dish with lid in clear bio-resin cast and use it as a decorative element in your interior or for storing homemade jewellery, for example. The process is simple and easy - and you can use any colour you want. When you mix coloured resin clay and clear resin, they flow easily together to create a beautiful marbled effect. The result is a colourful, elegant dish with lid.

How to do it

Wear disposable gloves while working. Mix 100 g of clear bio-resin cast and 100 g of hardener in a cup for the clear mixture. In addition, mix 80 g of clear bio-resin cast with 80 g of hardener in another cup for the coloured mixture. It is important that the measurements are precise or the mixture will not harden properly. Gently stir the mixtures together to prevent air bubbles from forming.

Add Plus Colour paint to the 80 x 80 g mixture - a dab of paint of around 1 cm in diameter should be enough. Stir until the colour is evenly distributed.

First pour some of the coloured mixture into the mould and then add the clear mass. Allow the two mixture to blend naturally.

Pour the mixtures alternately into the moulds until filled. Gently move a stirrer around the mixture to create a more distinct marble effect. Allow to harden for at least 24 hours. Note that the mixture is not fully hardened until after 7 days.
