Candle Holders with gauzy Wads of Merino Wool and Feathers

Each candle holder is covered with VTR Glue, then wads of Merino wool are attached onto the candle holder as well as natural feathers. When dry, a coat of acrylic lacquer is applied to the candle holders.

How to do it
1. Cover the entire candle holder with VTR Glue using a brush. Place gauzy wads of Merino wool in the wet glue. Dab the brush in the VTR Glue and brush over each wad of wool, so the wool fibres are flattened as much as possible.
2. When the candle holder is covered with wool, then decorate it with natural feathers which are attached, using the same method as the wool.
A TIP! Some find it easier to use their fingers for applying the glue and for smoothing out the wool on the candle holder. You may apply a coat of protective acrylic lacquer to the finished and dry candle holder. This ensures that the candle holder can withstand being wiped with a damp cloth.
