A nosy elf with a long beard and a velvet elf's hat

1 Sew the elf's hat together to form a cone. Make a 0.5 cm fold along the bottom edge of the elf's hat and sew with overcast stitches all the way around.

2 Sew the body together with the beard fabric facing right side against right side as shown in the photo. Now sew on the round felt base at the bottom.

3 Sew a drawing thread 0.5 cm from the edge all the way around the powder coloured felt circle.

4 Pull both ends of the drawing thread and tighten to form the nose. Fill with polyester stuffing and tighten once more to make the hole as small as possible. Tie a double knot with the two ends of the drawing thread.

5 Fill half of the the elf's body with plastic pellets.

6 Fill the rest of the body with polyester stuffing on top of the plastic pellets to make the body firm and sturdy enough to stand independently.

7 Fill the elf's hat tightly with polyester stuffing making it uniform in shape.

8 Attach the elf's hat onto the body using a glue gun. Apply a line of glue along the edge of the elf's hat and press the two parts together well. Make sure to place the elf's hat straight onto the body.

9 Attach the nose using a glue gun.
