A hand-knitted blanket from XL chunky yarn

This blanket is hand-knitted. It is easiest to knit from the front while the blanket is lying on the table. You will need 12 balls of wool for this blanket. The blanket must be treated carefully, as friction tends to fluff up unspun wool. Use and treat the blanket gently and hand-wash with detergent for wool in cold water. Let the blanket dry horizontally with towels underneath.

How to do it

Stitch height is 7 cm.
Cast on 22 stitches = 110 cm.
Knit 2 rows purl.
Row 3-6: start and finish all rows with 2 purl stitches. Knit 4 plain, 4 purl stitches.
Row 7-10: start and finish all rows with 2 purl stitches. Knit 4 purl, 4 plain stitches.
Finish when the blanket has the desired length (44 rows = approx. 150 cm).
Finish with 2 rows purl. Cast off on the last row.
The finished blanket measures approx. 110 x 150 cm.
