A Christmas Card with a Seven-Pointed Star in a Piece of Cotton Cord

1. Attach Masking Tape onto the bottom front – or according to your taste - of the greeting card like a border.

2. Cut seven (7) squares from design paper; each measuring 6 x 6 cm.

3. A seven-pointed star: Fold the square piece of paper diagonally.

4. Unfold and turn the paper upside down. Fold the paper in the same fold. Unfold again.

5. Fold one corner inwards towards the scored, folded line from each side.

6. Unfold.

7. Repeat at the opposite end; i.e. fold inwards towards the scored line – the same procedure as in step 5. Do not unfold.

8. Fold inwards at the top towards the scored line in the middle.

9. Fold slightly along the scored lines in the middle.

10. Gently fold together at the scored line in the middle.

11. Use seven pieces of square paper and make a total of seven folded shapes, each shape has a short and a long point. Assemble the star by inserting the short point of one shape into the long point of another shape etc.

12. Continue the process described above.

13. Finish by inserting the last point into the first point. A total of seven points.

14. Decorate the star with a self-adhesive half-pearl in the middle and make a hole at the end of one of the star points (use a Screw Punch). Thread a piece of cotton cord through the hole and decorate with a wooden bead. Cut a slot in the top of the card and attach the star from the opposite side.
