A Card Series with Design Paper, a Filigree Heart & Natural Hemp

An invitation made from a pearlescent greeting card and Vivi Gade design paper (Paris) and black Color Bar card. The paper and card are also used for menu and place cards. Decorate further with a white filigree heart, black natural hemp and rhinestones.

How to do it
1. 
Invitation: Print out the template, which is available as a separate PDF file for this idea. Cut it out and draw the outline on the front of the pearlescent greeting card. Cut along the line and along the groove in the middle of the greeting card.

Cut a piece of patterned Vivi Gade design paper, slightly smaller than the size of the greeting card. Attach this onto the inside of the greeting card using double-sided adhesive tape.

Cut out a heart from black Color Bar card using the template. Attach the black card heart onto the back of the filigree heart. Use double-sided adhesive tape for attaching the assembled heart onto the front of the greeting card.

Print out the text on drawing and copy paper. Cut out using the template, making sure that the arches are identical. Cut the three straight edges approx. 5-7mm from the edge. Use double-sided adhesive tape for attaching the it onto the Vivi Gade design paper on the inside of the greeting card.

Menu card: cut a square piece of Color Bar card measuring 21 x 21cm. Use a bone folder for scoring two lines, resulting in a tri-fold card, each section measuring 7cm.

Use a Screw Punch for making a hole in each of the two outer sides of the menu card. Thread a piece of natural hemp through the holes and tie together.

Place card: Cut a piece of card measuring 7.5 x 7.5cm and another piece measuring 8.5 x 8.5cm. Also, cut a piece of design paper measuring 8.5 x 8.5cm. Use double-sided adhesive tape for assembling the three cut-outs; the large black piece, then the design paper and finally the small piece of black card. Cut the filigree heart in two. Assemble the two halves (the two arches facing eachother) by tying a piece of natural hemp onto each half. Use double-sided adhesive tape for attaching the two heart halves at opposite sides of the card. Write the name with a silver marker.
