8   Braid just under half of the bracelet’s finished length and remove one of the cords from the braiding disc. Then thread the cord onto a big eye beading needle and thread on beads.
Guide step %d
9   Remove the cords from the braiding disc and knot a double knot with two cords of the same colour around the rest of the cords.
Guide step %d
10   Push one of the beads up to the knot and make another double macramé knot.
Guide step %d
11   Knot a double knot between each bead and finish with another double knot.
Guide step %d
12   Put the work back into the braiding disc and place the cords in pairs in the same way as you did at the start.
Guide step %d
13   Make a key chain using the kumihimo technique – first, pull the cords through the key ring and place the ring in the middle of the cord. With the key ring in the middle, attach the eight ends to the braiding disc and braid as shown in steps 2, 4 or 6.
Guide step %d
14   Use the ends of the braided bracelet to tie the bracelet around your arm – or attach it with a jewellery clasp.
Guide step %d
15   Measure around your arm to determine how long the bracelet should be. Take a little bit off for the jewellery clasp and O-ring – about 1.5 cm. Now cut to length.
Guide step %d
16   Squeeze or glue end caps around the braided bracelet depending on the type of end cap you use.
Guide step %d
17   Open an O-ring by twisting the two ends in opposite directions with two pairs of jewellery pliers. Insert both end caps and jewellery clasp into the O-ring and close the ring by twisting the ends back in place. Repeat this process at the opposite end of the bracelet, but here only the O-ring and end caps are joined.
