Glittering Decorations for the New Year's Table

The New Year's table decoration consists of silver-painted, glitter sprinkled, free-standing papier-mâché numbers and matching place cards, punched out from silver metallic foil card in a star shape. A napkin ring is shaped from silver pipe cleaners.

Paint the papier-mâché numbers with silver Plus Color craft paint and let them dry slightly before applying another coat on the sides and the back. Let them dry completely.

Now apply another coat of paint on the front of each number and immediately sprinkle silver glitter onto the wet paint. NB: paint and decorate only small areas at a time and use a piece of paper as an underlay for collecting the excess glitter.
